Mission Statement
The Franklin Hampshire Regional Employment Board will contribute to the sustained economic well-being of the employers and workers of the Franklin Hampshire area by taking the leadership role of the local workforce development system as a resource broker, both for workers and for life-long learning programs which leverage regional assets and meet regional needs.
Profile
Appointed by the Mayors of the City of Northampton and the City of Greenfield, the Franklin Hampshire Regional Employment Board is the region’s policy-making authority in developing workforce skills. In partnership with government, business, labor, education and community-based organizations, the FHREB coordinates and oversees the region’s publicly-funded workforce training and placement programs, including the Franklin Hampshire One-Stop Career Center and the School-to-Career/Connecting Activities program. The FHREB also serves a clearinghouse for labor market information and hiring/training incentives. The Board’s goal is to contribute to the economic health and growth of the region by creating an effective workforce development system that is responsive to job seekers and employers alike.
