The Franklin Hampshire Career Center partners with a variety of community organizations and agencies that can connect you to the resources you need. With our workforce partners, the Career Center provides seminars and networking forums for job seekers and employers on best practices, trainings and grants, business statistics, job search activities, and labor market updates. As with many rural regions, here in the Pioneer Valley, we’re all about networking.

These include 7 area Chambers of Commerce: Amherst, Franklin County, Greater Easthampton, North Quabbin, Northampton, Quaboag Valley and South Hadley.

There are also 4 community development organizations in our workforce development area: Franklin County Community Development Corporation, the Valley Community Development Corporation, Northquabbinwoods.org and the Quaboag Valley Community Development and Business Assistance Corporation.

The Franklin Hampshire Career Center region has a solid and proud history of supporting human services and community organizing. The Career Center works closely with Hampshire Educational Collaborative, Community Action, Community Health Center of Franklin County, YWCA of Western Massachusetts, Dial Self, The North Quabbin Community Coalition, Youth Action Coalition, Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES), The Community Coalition for Teens, The Center for New Americans, The International Language Institute, and The Literacy Project to provide career counseling and job search assistance for program participants.

The Career Center is affiliated with the City of Northampton and the City of Greenfield and collaborates with other state agencies and local governments, including the Department of Children and Family Services, Transitional Assistance and Youth Services, and all 50 municipalities in our region. The Career Center is a member of the Massachusetts Workforce Professionals Association, www.maworks.org (website temporarily down).
